Our Mission

Get the load there cold, on time, and exactly how you sent it.

Every shipment Villicana hauls belongs to somebody. A grower who pulled it from the ground that morning, a buyer waiting on a dock in Dallas, a family that will eat it on Tuesday. Our job is to make sure none of those people get let down.

The Promise

What we put our name on.

When you hand us a load, you are handing us your reputation. We treat it that way. The reefer is set before the trailer backs in, the seal goes on in front of you, and the driver knows the route before he turns the key.

We do not overbook. If we tell you we have a truck for Tuesday at 5 a.m., that truck is yours for Tuesday at 5 a.m. If something goes sideways on the road, you hear it from us first, not from your customer.

That is the whole deal. No surprises, no excuses, no quiet hope that you will not notice. La palabra vale, and around here it still does.

What We Deliver

Three things we put on every single load.

A close shot of fresh produce ready for refrigerated transport from the Salinas Valley

Temperature you can trust.

Every reefer in our 17-truck fleet runs a continuous temperature log from pickup to delivery, handed to you on request.

Strawberries do not get a second chance. We pre-cool the box, verify the setpoint at the dock, and our drivers check the unit at every stop. If the number drifts, you find out before the receiver does.

Pickup windows we actually hit.

Dispatch runs 24/7 by phone and email. A 4 a.m. pickup gets the same answer as a 4 p.m. one.

A missed window in Salinas means a missed truck, a missed sale, and a grower eating the loss. We build our schedules backward from your dock time, not forward from ours. If we say we will be there, we are already on the road.

A freight truck on a long highway at dawn, evoking long-haul cross-border logistics into Mexico

Freight that crosses the border clean.

CTPAT certified. Cross-border runs into Mexico handled by our Earthwise Transportation division.

Customs does not care about your timeline. Paperwork in order, seals intact, driver vetted, truck logged. We move loads south and back without the phone call nobody wants to make.

Why It Matters

A pallet of romaine that sat at 45 degrees for two hours is not romaine anymore. It is shrinkage, a chargeback, and a buyer who starts shopping for a new carrier on Monday morning. Behind every load is a farm that planted it, a packer who boxed it, and a paycheck that depends on it arriving the way it left. That is not freight to us. That is somebody's livelihood riding on our axles, and we have been carrying it since 2010.
